Full Time - WiFi Installation and Support Engineer - Westcountry Based

ClubWifi is currently recruiting for the above position to work within our engineering team. The key duties for this role are listed below. This post reports directly to the Clubwifi Business Manager.


Job Role

This role involves the day to day management of client WFi Networks throughout the Westcountry.

Installation of new WiFi systems and backhaul bridge solutions and the update and maintenance of current networks both onsite and remotely.

A proactive approach with all customer solutions is a must.

General support for customers and end-users on all networks.

Carry out detailed surveys for new installations and upgrades.

Ordering of Equipment.

Maintaining accurate documentation and records of all sites and systems.

Preparing Quotations and Proposals.

The ability to work unsupervised is a must.


Job Specification:

  • Day to Day Network Administration

  • Regular Customer Visits for network updates and servicing

  • Meeting New Customers onsite

  • Networking Events

  • Producing Quotations and Proposals

  • Basic Network Planning

  • Support for all clients and network users


Key Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels

  • Strong self-starter and highly motivated

  • Competent and Comfortable in new Environments 

  • Complete all company documentation to a high standard

  • Provide telephone/remote support to end users/network owners on a rotational basis covering evenings and weekends.

  • Based centrally within the South West Region and close to the M5/A30 regional routes.

  • You will also be required to work away from home from time to time or spend time away on relevant company activities and training courses.

  • Have had work experience in a previous customer-facing role

  • Full Clean driving licence


Experience Preferred:

Literate with Apple, MAC and iOS Systems and Microsoft OS

Some basic knowledge of Public Wifi System (detailed training is available)

Previous Face to Face Customer Job Role

Motivated Team player

Excellent Communication Skills are essential

An understanding of Ubiquiti Wifi Products and Services

(Training will be given to the right candidate)



Must be educated to "A" level standards

Qualifications in English

Qualifications in Mathematics

Qualifications in at least 1 science subject

Networking Qualifications are desirable but not essential

Salary and Remuneration:

Travel throughout the South West region is required at times when visiting Customers.

This position is Full-Time, Hours of work 40 hours per week, 08:00 to 17:30 with occasional evening or weekend work.

6 Month Probationary Period

Starting Basic Salary - up to £30k (Dependant On Experience) per annum, plus bonus and contributory pension scheme

iPhone, iPad, iMac - latest versions.

Fully Expensed Company Vehicle

Company supplied tools and equipment

4 Weeks Annual Leave (some Bank Holiday cover may be required)
